The Junior Club is for licenced players aged 8 years and above. The licence allows them to undertake gradings and progress in their sport, each grading is a test demanding a higher level of skill, which each candidate is fully trained for, and is recognised by the awarding of different coloured belts, each colour belt having intermediate levels which are indicated by rings on the belt or "tabs".
The Junior Club meets with the Kano Club at 6:30 p.m. every Friday excluding School Summer and Bank
Holidays.

A typical evening will consist of some warm up exercises, followed by training in various Judo techniques, culminating in "Randori", which is an opportunity to put the training into practise via a light competition with partners of similar ability. The class will then conclude with some energetic games to warm the players down and have some fun.
